Thirteen Thursday #1 things I started and quit

So I have decided that I would like to be one of those Thirteen Thursday people. Today will be my very first one. I wrote a really great one and saved it at work so I will have to use it next Thursday. So for this Thursday it will be: (drum roll please)

13 things I started and quit over my lifetime:

13.) Smoking. I had my first cigarette when I was an early teen. I was at a pack a day by the time I was 21. I quit smoking when I got pregnant with Bethany. I had just turned 25. I never smoked again.

12.) Weight Watchers. I have started and quit WW about four times in the last six years. One day I will really take the weight off.

11.) My CNA job. I started working at the nursing home on the island in the fall of 2000. I quit that job in December 2000.

10.) Myspace. I have a myspace. I used to go on it all the time. However, I can't really stand it to be honest so I quit updating it.

9.) Drinking. I used to love a good rum and coke. However, in 2001 I joined the church and turned away from it. Now I didn't say this was easy and I surely didn't say that every once in a while I don't think 'wow do I need a drink' then I shake it off.

8.) Listening to talk radio in the morning. I was listening to the local talk and by the time I would be to work I'd be fired up about some stupid thing that you can't change anyway. So who need that crap in the morning.

7.) Spicy food. I hate anything hot. I don't like it burning my mouth, tounge, or any other body part.

6.) Cleaning my daughters room. Listen I have just come to the conclusion that I don't care if she wants to look like that. Whatever. Don't come cryin' to me when you can't find your junk.

5.) Working on my family tree. I am just burnt out. My sister is burnt out as well. We only are good at it when we are both working on it together.

4.) cooking meals in my kitchen. We have been without our kitchen for almost 3 weeks now. It will be finished next week.

3.) sleeping on my back. I MUST sleep on my left side or I cannot fall asleep.

2.) stayin up late on work nights. It is way past my bedtime right now. I like to be asleep by 10 at the latest.

1.) Thinking I am going to change my husband. He is who he is and all I can change is myself. Now don't get me wrong I still have hope that one day he will wake up and get me totally however until that day comes I will stop trying to change him.

So, drinking was harder to quit than smoking? Interesting.

This was my 1st Thursday 13 as well. I've tried and quit a few of those things too!
