I really get to say 'Oh I am going to the country for the weekend.' Hee hee.

Love yall.

No Labor Day Weekend Plans

Well we wanted to go camping over Labor Day Weekend.

I waited to late to make any reservations and everything is full.
I hate that.
I knew better.
Oh well maybe next year.

Chris said to me last night 'since we don't have any plans maybe I'll go to Summer Waves with you and the kids?'

I wonder if he really meant it.

He asked the kids what did they want to do and they said they wanted to go bowling and skating.
I don't know what we will do but it better be fun.

Maybe if Chris and I can go on a date on Friday, and the kids stay home. Then for the rest of the weekend we can spend it with them? Don't know?

What do yall have planned? Maybe we can crash your plans? Do you have room for 7 more?

Religion

Well I felt like this is a topic that I needed to talk about today. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been a member of this church since July of 2001. I love the church. However, I have not been going to any of the meetings. I would just like to say that even though I have not been attending my meetings doesn’t mean that I still don’t believe the teachings of the LDS church.

The reason I bring this up today is I wrote something on my PIC’s (Amanda) blog about going to mass. Now I have not been to Mass since about the 8th grade when I went with my friend Jessica Dulay. I do not understand, nor do I pretend to even know anything about the Catholic Church. For those of you who are Catholic I am happy for you, I mean no offense. When I stopped going to church Amanda and I were talking one day about what was going on with me, and to break the seriousness of the conversation something about becoming Catholic or going to Mass was said which we both found to be very funny. So know it is like an inside joke.

Now since you know that I also want you to know that I do not think religion is a laughing matter. Believe me when I tell you it is always on my mind.

I used to have a very strong testimony about the teachings of the church. Just because my testimony is not as strong as it once was, or my faith as strong as it once was doesn’t mean that I still don’t love Jesus.

Before you start making comments I want you to also know that I know how to increase my testimony, and my faith. I just don’t have a desire right now. That is the honest truth.

Here are some more honest statements:
I have not been offended by anyone at the Church.
It has just become easier not to come.

I found it a little funny that someone read my comment about Mass, and called my Father-In-Law, or asked someone else in my family what I am doing at Mass.

I think a quote from Forrest Gump fits perfect:
That's all I have to say about that

A few things that happen this past week.

This past week has been alittle crazy. The School was closed on Friday because of Hurricane 'Fay'. One good thing was that the children cleaned up the house, and they did a pretty good job.

On Sunday the kids run in to tell me they discovered something wonderful in the driveway. Then they caught it and brought it into the house.

The turtle didn't seem happy so they tried to feed him lettuce.

When after 5 minutes he wouldn't eat they decided that he wanted to swim in the bathtub.

The children wanted to keep him so bad, but I just couldn't let them love him to death. So, when Daddy came home he took and put him in the pond. I hope that turtle doesn't come back to our house.

The Police

The other night Christopher asked if he could call his Grandmother in Waycross. Now I have given him several lessons on how to call, and I said yes go ahead. He came back and said he couldn't get through. I told him we would try after dinner. Then the Police showed up on my doorstep. Christopher dailed 911 instead of 1912, hung up the phone, and then walked away from the phone but didn't really hang up the phone. So, when 911 called back the phone was busy. When this happens the Police not only stop by your house to check on you, they want to see everyone in your house, and they want to walk through you house just to be sure everything is fine. I guess Christopher needs another phone lesson.

Last but not least. When I posted Bethany's party for some reason I couldn't load this picture. It was an error on my part, but I wanted everyone to see this cute girl. This is Hope, my Karen's daughter. This is the little girl that has stolen my Christopher's heart. He thinks she is so cool, and a good dancer. Lynsey was trying to teach them how to slow dance at Bethany's party, it was so cute. He does whatever she says. Then again he kind of does whatever anyone tells him to except for when his sisters tell him to do something. Anyway, back to Hope. She has a memory like an elephant. She has a really adorable sister named Hannah. Hannah couldn't make it to the party because she was sick.

She wanted to be a Dancing Queen

We Bethany's 7th Birthday at Pat's house in her new room.

She had a Dancing Queen birthday. Now don't try to go down to Walmart, or google the theme because you will not find it. This creation was just Chris, and I brainstorming and asking Bethany what she wanted. She wanted to be a Dancing Queen so we helped make her dream come alive.
Grandma took her down to Claire's and bought her a crown. We sent out High School Musical invites. She created the menu. She wanted hamburgers and hotdogs grilled of course. She wanted fruit salad yummy yummy, and veggie trays with ranch. She also wanted a big chocolate cake. As for entertainment she just wanted to Dance, Dance. Let me just tell you when you have dancers in your family you just stand back and let them do what they do best. (see video)

Bethany enjoying a moment before the party with Christopher, Makenzie, Ethan, and Noah on the swing. (she is so happy)

Bethany loves that Mackenzie picks her over the other girls.

Victoria, Bethany, and Jaycee.

This is Shelby, Mackenzie, and Reagan. Shelby wouldn't smile for me. then I said 'Please I have prizes for later' so she smiled.

That smile is so cute. I am so sorry that I forgot to give out the prizes. I will need to make it up to Shelby.

I think Papa was glad we were all there, or maybe he was just glad to be in such a comfy chair.

Grandpa, and Uncle Ben

Lynsey, and Alyssa

Chris, and Lenee. I must give credit where credit is due. Chris was so wonderful the entire day. I really need to remember this the next time I am upset with him. He set up the D.J. stuff, played music, swept, mopped, grilled, cleaned up, packed car, swept and mopped again. I am sure I have left off some stuff. He was really great, and I don't think I realize or say it enough.

Christopher. Why does he have such a hard time looking into the camera?

This is my friend Karen. I always called her my Karen so people would know who I am talking about. She was a big wonderful help. She helped clean up, and pack up. She is such a wonderful supportive friend. Also, a side note Christopher really likes her older daughter Hope.

Echo (me), and Lenee. Earlier in the day I told Noah what my shirt said. He told me that he was the big dog.

Pat and Betty. Betty is Gavin's Grandma. Betty and Pat used to work at the phone company together years ago, and now their Grandchildren are friends.

This is Jaycee. Bethany met her in the 1st grade last year. They live the next street over. They are really good friends.

We did musical gifts when it was time for presents. All the children sat in a circle with their presents and Bethany danced around to the music. When I turned the music off she would stop. Whoever she was standing in front of she would open their gift. Good Times thanks Karen. I mean Bethany got to not only dance, she was the center of the world.

This was a very specail gift for Bethany. On top of this Kaboodle it said 'Courtney to Laura to Bethany'. The story is this, Courtney had a Kaboodle, when she out grew it she gave it to Laura, Laura always kept nail polish and such in it. Grandma clean it out and put new nail products in it and gave it to Bethany. She was so excited.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Birthday party. For those of you who didn't we really wished you could have been there, but we are really glad you didn't come and share your germs with us. I am sure that she will want to have a dance party again for the next birthday.

Let's Play a Game

Well I really liked this idea when I saw it on Amanda's sight. So I wanted to play along. How many can you get right?

I think you might be surprised if you took a look at my iPod. It seems everyone who ever has says 'you really surprised me'. I just like music. All kinds of music. Now I did skip over the Christmas songs. I thought I liked this so much that I will do a specail Christams post in December.

1
Jackies in the elevator
Lingerie second floor
She said can I see you later
And love you just a little more
I kinda hope we get stuck
Nobody gets out alive
She said Ill show you how to fax
In the mailroom, honey
And have you home by five

2
My bills are all due and the baby needs shoes and I'm busted
Cotton is down to a quarter a pound, but I'm busted
I got a cow that went dry and a hen that won't lay
A big stack of bills that gets bigger each day
The county's gonna haul my belongings away cause I'm busted.

3
Tell me no secrets, tell me some lies
Give me no reasons, give me alibis
Tell me you love me and don't let me cry
Say anything but don't say goodbye

4
I would sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats in my ear
Don`t you know you fool, you never can win
Use your mentality, step up to reality
But each time I do, just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin

5
Delicious (so delicious)
But I ain't promiscuous
And if you was suspicious
All that is fictitiousI blow kisses (mmmwwahhh)
I put them boys on rock, rock
And they be lining down the block just to watch what I got (got, got, got)
Four, tres, two, uno.
My body stay vicious,
I be up in the gym just working on my fitness,
He's my witness (oooh, wee).

6
All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance don't you know
If they move too quick (oh whey oh)
They're falling down like a domino
All the bazaar men by the Nile
They got the money on a bet Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)
They snap their teeth on your cigarette
Foreign types with the hookah pipes say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh

7
Them that's got shall get
Them that's not shall lose
So the Bible said and it still is news
Mama may have, Papa may have

8
Turn up the radio
Blast your stereo
Right now
This joint is fizzlin'
It's sizzlin'
Right (Yo, check this out right here)
Dude wanna hate on us (dude)
Dude need'a ease on up (dude)
Dude wanna act on up
But dude get shut like flavor shut (down)
Chicks say, she ain't down
But chick backstage when we in town (ha)

9
By the time you get this message
It's gonna be too late
So don't bother paging me'
Cause I'll be on my waySee,
I grabbed all my diamonds and clothes
Just ask your momma she knows
You're gonna miss me baby
Hate to say I told you so
Well at first I didn't know
But now it's clear to me
You would cheat with all your freaks
And lie compulsively
So I packed up my Louie Vuitton
Jumped in your ride and took off
You'll never ever find a girl
Who loves you more than me

10
If I wrote you a symphony,
Just to say how much you mean to me (what would you do?)
If I told you you were beautiful
Would you date me on the regular (tell me, would you?)
Well, baby I've been around the world
But I ain't seen myself another girl (like you)
This ring here represents my heart
But there's just one thing I need from you (say "I do")
[Chorus:]Yeah, becauseI can see us holding hands
Walking on the beach, our toes in the sandI can see us on the countryside
Sitting on the grass, laying side by side
You could be my baby, let me make you my lady
Girl, you amaze meAin't gotta do nothing crazy

11
I’m feeling yummy head to toe (you see me)
Ain’t got no patience so let’s go (you see me)
Look, I’m diet drama wanna spend the night? don’t bring pajamas
Man, there’s so much heat beneath these clothes (you see me)
Walk in the place, they know my face
Encore, sophomore, only one solo I swore
Big mouth, applause, oh please one more
Wanna hear it before I say naw
Let me check my itinerary, umm alright
Presto, skintight, escaped and I risked my life
For what? So I can watch them bite
Only one Gwen you can find like this, I mean blow your mind like this
Your key won’t shine like this, if it’s yours then you know it won’t wind like this

12
Hey , alright nowand dont it feel good!!
hey yeh
I used to think maybe you loved me, now I know that its true
and I don't want to spend all my life , just in waiting for you
now I don't want u back for the weekend
not back for a day , no no no
I said baby I just want you back and I want you to stay

13
You're way too beautiful girl
That's why it'll never work You'll have me suicidal, suicidal
When you say it's over

14
Baby, when I think about you
I think about love
Darlin, gonna live without you
And your love
If I had those golden dreams of my yesterday
I would wrap you
In the heavens
And feel it dying dying dying all the way

15
We'll get a slaw, burger, fries and a bottle of ski
Bring it on out to my baby and me

16
She's like the shine on your shoes,
or hearing a blues that's great.
Makes you relax, like a big tax rebate!

17
Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling
Give me all your love
Your hands build me up when I'm sinking
Touch me and my troubles all fade
Lady, from the moment I saw you
Standing all alone
You gave all the love that I needed
So shy, like a child who has grown

18
I don't need a whole lots of money,
I don't need a big fine car.
I got everything that a man could want,
I got more than I could ask for.
I don't have to run around,
I don't have to stay out all night.
'Cause I got me a sweet ... a sweet, lovin' woman,
And she knows just how to treat me right.
Well my baby, she's alright,
Well my baby, she's clean out-of-sight.

19
Lonely, lonely.
Tin can at my feet,
I think I'll kick it down the street.
That's the way to treat a friend.
Bright before me the signs implore me:
Help the needy and show them the way.
Human kindness is overflowing,

20
Typical
Hardly the type I fall forI'm liking the physical
Don't leave me asking for moreI'm a sexy mama (Mama)
Who knows just how to get what I want and (Want and)
What I want to do is spring this on you (On you)
Back up all of the things that I told you (Told you)
You been saying all the right things all along
But I can't seem to get you over here to help take this off
Baby, can't you see?
How these clothes are fitting on me
And the heat coming from this beat
I'm about to blowI don't think you know

Always running around like my head is chopped off!

Things are so crazy at our house. We are always so busy. Our schedule is as follows:

Monday – Friday morning Lynsey has Seminary from 6-7am

Monday night- we are all just trying to get in the groove.

Tuesday night- Kelsea has karate from 6pm-8pm at the YWCA
Lynsey and Bethany have a tumbling class at Golden Isles from 7pm-8pm

Wednesday night- Lynsey has ballet from 4:30pm-5:30pm
Christopher has scouts from 6:30pm-7:30pm or 8pm (not really sure on time because it doesn’t start until September)
Lynsey and Kelsea have Young Womens from 6:30-8pm
Also, every other Wednesday Kelsea goes to her Mom’s at 5pm until Friday at 6pm.

Thursday night- Bethany has tap, jazz, and ballet from 4pm-6pm
Lynsey has tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop from 5-8:15pm
I am working at the dance school from 4pm-8:15pm
Kelsea has art from 4-6pm and karate from 6-8pm
Kelsea also goes to her Mom’s every other Thursday night at 6pm
(in short she is with her Mom every Thursday.)

Friday night- we are just trying to get over the busy week.

One last thing we signed Christopher up for Soccer. We did not get his schedule for this yet. It doesn’t start until September.

It is really busy. I have made a promise to myself to cook dinner every night, and to read stories to everyone every night. I guess the story will have to be shared by every one on Thursday night since I will not be there until 8:30pm. Just as long as make sure to have enough food cooked so Chris can serve leftovers. We are to busy, but who do I say no to? I want them to be active. They all know that bad grades mean no go for all activities. So, I guess when progress reports come out in a few weeks we will see how the schedule will change.

13 Thursday - My favorite Children's Books

I have been sitting down with each one of my littlest children (Christopher, Bethany, and Noah) each night and reading. We call it Meme time. I spend 15 minutes with each child in the living room, and while I am with that child the other children are not to come in. So, if two children want the same book I read it twice. It really makes me feel like I am getting that one on one with each, and it really makes me feel like I am a good Meme. So, I guess I will try to continue to do this. It makes the bedtime routine so much better. So, for all of you I love please do not call after 8pm. Hee Hee

This week am going to talk about my 13 favorite children’s books for 13 Thursday. These books are not in any sort of order, I love them all the same. I have different memories for each.

13.) Walter the Farting Dog

Yes I know it sounds gross, and you are right it is gross. BUT boys love this stuff. The story is really cute. Also, believe it or not they have two more the series.

12.)Take me out of the Bathtub and other silly dilly songs

This book makes up new lyrics to all sorts of old songs. Like Take Me Out Of The Bathtub is sung to Take Me Out To The Ball Game. My favorite is to the tune of My Country Tis Of Thee and it is called 'My Siter's Mean to Me'
My Sister's Mean To Me
we always disagree
and it's her fault
she breaks my favorite stuff
she treats me mean and rough
You get the picture. Now I always try to sing the songs and my kids love it. They also have a series of books with these silly dilly songs. One is for Potty Training and it is so funny.

11.)There's A Nightmare In My Closet

My sister and I had this book when we where kids. It is a lesson of the monster in your closet is not scary. It is very sweet.

10.) The Monster At the End Of This Book

This is also from my childhood. We loved this story over and over. We really loved it when it was read dramatically.

9.) How I Became A Pirate

Need I say more than Pirate. My boys love pirate books and I didn't buy this for a long time, But now that I finally got it I love the story. The boy's name is Jeremy Jacob, but when I read it to Noah I change the name to Noah James. He loves it.

8.) Gigi God's Little Princess The Royal Tea Party

I was at my friend’s house this weekend. (Karen) And we were discussing one of my favorite things in life ‘children’s books’. That is when she introduced me to Gigi God’s Little Princess. I ran right out to the bookstore and bought ‘The Royal Tea Pary’. This is a truly fabulous book. You see Gigi is a ‘Princess’ in the same way we are all ‘Princess’ of our true ‘King’ Heavenly Father. She always learns a very wonderful lesson and the story line is very amusing. If you are looking for a great book for your little ‘Princess’ this series is truly a gem. You should add it to you Christmas list for the little girls in your life. ( she also makes a great book for boys called Will the Warrior)

7.) Good Boy Fergus

I love books by David Shannon. I actually have two books by him on my list. This one is a favorite of Noah's. I have read this book more than I ever wanted too. It got so bad I had to hide it. I need to get it back out. The pictures are great, and the story is short and sweet. Just right for Noah James.

6.) Fancy Nancy

This is a favorite of mine and Bethany's. This girl is so lavish. She likes to use big words and then tells you its a fancy word for what it means. We love everything about Fancy Nancy. She has several books.

5.) That Rabbit Belongs To Emily Brown

For awhile I was reading this book everynight to Bethany. When I would read it I would say Bethany Corin instead of Emily Brown, and I would call the rabbit Emma. (she has a bunny she snuggles with named Emma) This book is really wonderful. It teaches a lesson is ownership, and how to be loyal. It is a good read.
4.) The Cat Who Wore A Pot On Her Head
This book first came out in hardback in 1967. However, mine was a paper back, and I had mine in the 80's. They don't publish this book anymore, so I had to go to ebay to get it. I loved this story. It is a lot of fun to read. I am sure that my sister will remember our Mother reading this to us. The story is that the cat Bedomalina put this pot on her head because it was always so noise on Cat Street. She goes to visit a sick friend with her Mother. While they are there Mother sends her back to tell the brother and sisters what needs done.
Mother says 'Tell the brother and sisters to put the fish on to bake.'
Bedomalina is confused mish on to take, pish on to sake, Oh Momma wants them to put soap in the cake.
Well they wanted to please Mother so they put soap in the cake. By the time Mother got home they had chairs on the walls, a horse in the sink, a dress on the clock, and on and on.
It is a really great story.
3.) Biscuit
All the kids love stories about animals. Biscuit is always doing the cutest things.
2.) Animals Should Definitely Not Wear Clothing
I do not own this book now. I used to have it when I was little. I really want to but it. The story is cute, but the pictures are the best.

1.) Alice the Fairy
This is the second book by David Shannon that I love love love. It is such a sweet story about a little girl named Alice. She wants to be a fairy so bad. She calls her mom the dutchess. You really should take time to read it.
Now if you don't want to but any of these books you could always go to your local library, or if you live close and you would like to borrow it just give me a call.
Happy reading.
In the comments I hope you will tell me about your favorite books, or you could write about it on your blog and I will promise to comment you.
love

Happy 7th Birthday Bethany

We got Bethany an iPod for her Birthday. She was so excited. First she said I just want to see my present and you can wait to give it to me at my birthday party. I said Bethnay you realize your birthday party isn't until next Saturday. She said yes but I can wait.

She wanted an iPod so bad, but we told her there was no way she was getting one. Then we talked about it and decided that she was touching my iPod all the time, and if she wanted some video game system we would do it. So, we got her what she wanted.

She was so happy. She ran to me and hugged me around the neck, I stood up and she was still hanging from my neck. She told us that we were the best, and then she fake fainted. After that Daddy put the iPod back. She danced around the living room like she was on a cloud. I was so great to see her like that and I hope that I will remember it always.

That night on my way home from work she called my cell phone four times right in a row. I didn't answer at first because I was talking to my sister Harmony. She just won't stop so I clicked over. She said Mommy do I really have to wait until my party to get my iPod. I said no Bethany, when I get home I will load it with music. She said can I open it now. I said Bethany there isn't any music on it. She said I don't care I just want to hold it. LOL

That night we loaded music, then we went to eat at New Hong Kong. She loves their Wonton soup (she picked the place)

When we got home she was listening to her iPod dancing in the living room and watching herself in the mirror. LOL
I had to video it.

Enjoy.

She is singing 'I Kissed A Girl'

In this video she is singing 'Low' but she calls it the Applebottom Jeans song. LOL

The Fashionista aka. Lynsey Morgan

Lynsey Morgan was so excited about school starting. She has been adding to her new school clothes collection since vacation in June to the Outer Banks. I didn't get a picture of her on the first day of school, but I did take a picture of all of her school clothes. I am not really sure why I took a picture of each outfit but she just kept trying them on, and I had the camera. So on with the fashion show.

This is the outfit she wore on the first day of school. However, she did have her hair, and makeup all done up. She also had jewerly on. She looked very sweet. This dress was on the sale rack at the Body Shop. The shoes were from Payless.

This was the outfit she wore on the second day of school. The shirt is from a store in the Outer Banks, and the skirt is from the Gap outlet in the Outer Banks. The shoes were from Payless.

This is one of my favorite outfits. It is so Hip to me. We bought this at the Body Shop in the mall, and the shoes from Payless. The Body Shop was a really cute store, but you have to make sure it is not to clubbie. You know there are just so many clubs in Brunswick to wear that stuff too. LOL (for those of you who don't know we do not have a 'real' club here.)

As soon as I saw this shirt something in me just smiled. It reminds me of Rainbow Brite. I loved it. We got this from the Body Shop, and the shoes from Payless.

I don't remember where we got any of these pieces, but I know they were off the sales rack.

The only thing I remember about this outfit is the shoes. We bought them at Goody's. You cannot tell from the picture, but they have frogs on them. I take that back I got the polo at Areopostale for five bucks.

This top was from Goody's. I bought one for Kelsea but she hated it so we are taking it back.

This cute little dress is from the Body Shop. She wore this to Open House at the High School this past Sunday.

She didn't even want to try this top on, but I just knew it would look great. She told me that I have good taste sometimes. LOL. This was from the Body Shop.

These next couple of outfits I don't really remember alot about, except she liked them and they were on the sale rack, and they came from one of the following stores: American Eagle, Areopostale, the Body Shop, Limited Too, or Goody's. All the shoes came from Payless except the gray Nike which were from Payless.

This shirt I bought at Goody's. I loved it as soon as I saw it. I think it looks so good on Lynsey. It is so COOOOLLL!

What can I say she is a teen who likes what she likes and wears what she likes based on her mood. I love all the stuff we bought, and she was really happy with her finds.
Kelsea doesn't love clothes and shoes like Lynsey, But Bethany loves clothes and shoes more than Lynsey I think.
